oh yeah... nothing like a shot of relative optimism to get over the 
resentment of years of oppression.

by the author's line of reasoning, it seems, any US soldier without a 
record of "liberation" activities, is in it (the iraq war) for the oil 
and power (the same reasons as bush)?
