I recently had two (successful) job interviews here in Moscow. The fact that am a heavy smoker was a big plus.
Hitch was a real ahole for what he said. My only demand is that there be a small place in a building (any and every) for smokers. Smoking in a public place in front of possibly many non-smokers is simply insulting (and possibly a serious and immediate health risk for some).
