Chuck sez:

Research? How much money does it take to look up the addresses of the Family Research Council and the American Family Association? You can do that using the web in less than two minutes.

What nonsense.

Why do research? Just call for a demonstration. Don't bother to understand the dynamics, or what is really going on. No analysis. Ideology is such a bore. Just act first. Act without thinking. Action over Reason!

Where have I heard that before.

And a minor explanation of one of my quotes: I meant that Sara Diamond, Russ Bellant, and Fred Clarkson were never able to earn a living writing about the rise of the political right, and that a movement that takes itself seriously would make sure they had the type of funding that Ann Coulter, etc. got. They never got into the game like the researchers on the Right did. Fred and Russ are still researching and writing when they can afford to. Sara left the field to become a lawyer. We need more research and analysis, and less empty rhetoric and spin-doctoring.
