so, sonshine and gf were driving home from work in sep cars. she comes here every evening. They had to take detour b/c of an accident. On an unfamiliar road, Sonshine was in right lane and realized that he needed to get out of it. This is not an uncommon occurence and most people have been there before and ease up to let you out. There's an occassional idiot, of course.
Sonshines puts on signal to move into next lane, idiot driving an Audi behind him gets pissed and starts tailing him, swerving in and out of traffic, clipping off one driver after another. Sonshine's gf tries to keep up with sonshine, terrified that he's going to get rammed by the guy, but he clipped her, too.
The guy pulls up alongside Sonshine and points a gun at him. Sonshine's gf calls him on the cell, tells him to pull over into a public place, thinking the guy will be less likely to shoot sonshine if he's less able to speed off and more likely to be seen by plenty of witnesses. They do and guy drives erratically through the parking lot, clipping people who are trying to back out of parking spaces, etc. etc.
Sonshine calls cops. Road Rage tears off out of parking lot, gets back on road. Sonshine regroups, thinking the guy was long gone. Not. Road Rage pulls out from another parking lot up the road where he'd been waiting, sidles up to sonshine again and tries to drive him off the road.
At this point, sonshine's back in familiar territory and knows there's a speed trap ahead, so he leads the guy to it. The guy doesn't realize anything's up, thinks sonshine's pulling into a service station. Smug, Road Rage gives sonshine a big grin, points gun, and waves a sarcastic "Bye" and speeds off up the highway.
At this point, of course, not only was there the usual town cop gunning people in the speed trap, there were about 5 other cops there, having responded to the 911 Operator.
Well-to-do middle eastern immigrant and road rage. New one on me. I would think that, given the climate, people from the ME would be less likely to engage in such crazy stuff!
