Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg Brown & Root Services Inc. in Arlington, VA received $30 million for Task Order 0013 under a cost reimbursement, indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity construction contract (N62470-04-D-4017) for construction of Detention Camp #6 and Security Fence at U.S. Naval Base, Guantanamo Bay.
The work to be performed provides for a two-story, 220-man facility, consisting of day rooms, exercise areas, medical/dental spaces, and a security control room. The project also will include site work, heating ventilation and air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical work.
Work will be performed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and is expected to be complete by July 2006. The basic contract was competitively procured with 59 offers solicited, three proposals received and award made on July 26, 2004. The total contract amount is not to exceed $500 million which includes the base period and four option years. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic in Norfolk, VA issued the contract.
