kind of a boring story, really. why am I motivated to send this out to this list when there are so many more interesting stories i could bring to your attention? like:
like the new poll that finds more americans now blame bush than saddam for the war
or the little flurry of postings in the blogsphere last week as to whether or not the lack of a visible anti-war movement actually helped turn Americans against the war
or the surprisingly factually interesting article in the National Review about what a mess Basra is. According to the author, just as the "culture of poverty" is the reason the poor stay poor here, the reason Iraq is such as mess is the Iraqi's "self-defeating behavior" -- hey, if this is what it takes for the Right to turn against the war, i'm all for this meme spreading.
even the recent speculation about the minimal spread between short- and long-term interests rates being a structural shift is more interesting.
well, i guess just because i remember this question was asked here a few months ago; from this article it looks like this is still an open question.
