Could this be related to the (once understandable for obvious reasons, but
now I think quite irrational) distaste for Wagner in Israel? D&D is derived
from Tolkien, whose "Lord of the Rings" is in turn painfully derivative of
(and to my mind infinitely inferior to) The Ring of the Nibelungen.
