Sony has turned in decent profits for the 2000s, and never posted the
monster losses which weighed down some of the other Japanese heavyweights.
Their insurance division is making lots of money, their film biz is doing
well, and their PS2 brand is globally dominant. Their costs are a bit up,
because they spent 3 billion EUR on a new 300-mm plant in Nagasaki.
