Title: TwentyNinetySeven: Dark Tomorrow From: <deleted> Date: Monday, March 14, 2005

The year is 2097. As technology has advanced, so too have the multinational corporations behind them, creating organisations that now wield more power than the old governments that once existed. The most powerful of these is WORLDCOM, formed from the ashes of those governments and now responsible for overseeing the countries of the world. Mankind has continued to reach out into the stars beyond and has now established small colonies on several nearby planets including Mars in order to cope with the increasing problems of overcrowding. The threats of crime and terrorism have also grown across the Earth. This is not a perfect world.

In a world where corporations wage secret wars against one another and the weapons of terrorism have grown more terrible, a lone organisation seeks to protect the planet from harm. XStrike was established almost fifty years ago by WORLDCOM and engages in an ongoing 'invisible war' to stop those who would harm mankind. Among its many silent victories are halting the near outbreak of the Zoltar Virus in New Seattle during the 2056 wars between Niodyne and Bioserk, and protecting Neo Tokeo against the Millenium Two death cult in 2079.

The dateline is 7-3-2097 and for XStrike's infamous Cell 77, it is going to be the longest day of their lives...
