I just learned from the NYT's uber-hack White House correspondent, 
Elizabeth Bumiller, that this schtick helps "humanize" W, to soften 
his rough edges. And that Laura hasn't yet watched the show (though 
she plans to watch the early shows on DVD, soon), but she learned 
about it from the twins, who are big fans. God bless America, eh?
