Yes, it's the peripheral players in the Guantanamo Bay saga who wind up prostrating themselves in apology for causing harm -- not the USG, which conceived and operates this Gevena-light, heavy-duty Q&A facility in total secrecy and never has to offer the least word of accountability, explanation or reassurance about what the hell's going at Gitmo.

Bush & Co. are such masters at removing themselves from the scene of the crime and placing blame elsewhere, it's surprising they haven't said that any human rights abuses at Gitmo are the responsibility of the Cuban government since the detention center is on Cuban soil.
