(Run-on sent., I know) What I'm saying is given the lack of human feeling towards me and those like me, who persist for some masochistic reason to remain on the left, when we get, at the minimum ad hominem really personal attacks on us, at the outside edge, death threats (which given the authors I treat w/o any alarm), and the galloping marginalization of the Left in the USA, there won't be a need for heresy hunting on the Left in 2015, cuz we will have evaporated away in acrimony and emotional exhaustion.
Who could if they were 18 and reading Monthly Review as I started doing wshen I was 15, now, be attracted to joining the Left? A good 25 % of us, at least, are no model of the behavior we hope a socialist society would instantiate.
