It's Hitchens who shows unmitigated gall all the way.  Particularly deft is 
the way Hitchens tries to smear Galloway and simultaneously bask in his 
reflected glory, viz.: "In a small way--an exceedingly small way--this 
[Galloway's testimony] had the paradoxical effect of making me proud to be 
British."
