John Bruton, the EU's ambassador to the US (and a truly vile person
BTW), sums it up this way: "The EU Constitution would help the EU
become a more effective partner to the US".  And for once he's right.

I don't yet have a vote in Irish referenda, but on this one I would
certainly be voting no - for that reason and many others.
