Marvin Gandall typed, in another related thread:

Re: [lbo-talk] Resisting occupation <...> Charles is right: the US was clearly the aggressor in Iraq, but I reject justifying the right of resistance to foreign occupation on this basis alone, or even primarily. <...>

Now that I'm done laughing at Mr. Gandalls position on what the Iraqis should think about a foreign occupation...

The correct position is, and *ALWAY WAS* Out Now.

Anyone who, at any time, thought differently, IS part of the problem, even if they've renounced their previous support for the invasion. Sorry your nasty little war is going badly for you...

There never WAS a good reason, except to temporarily prop up a few specific western economies with military and it's ancillary spending while they figure out(or not) what to do to keep the house of cards from crashing down.

I'm just waiting for the Bush admin to seriously piss off the Chinese government. [lbo-talk] will quickly become [lblo-talk]... Left Bread Line Observer Talk, available to those in the power elite that can afford the computer, and are allowed to have an internet connection(monitored).

I guess some people STILL need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows, and Christian Parenti is a sorry excuse. Travelled or not.

It's a pity...

Leigh
