One must distinguish between foreign-influenced and foreign-dominated. China's semi biz features heavy hitters like SMIC, Grace, and Lenovo (currently taking over IBM's PC division). China is also getting into the LCD biz (http://neasia.nikkeibp.com/topstory/001339). East Asian capitalism really is East Asian -- not a copy of US neoliberalism or Eurocapitalism.
