Why?  What difference does it make?  You do not seriously think that
anything even remotely resembling "progressive" is going to appear on the
horizon any time soon, do you?  And if you do, what would that be and by
what social force?  I am all ears.

Methinks it is far less stressful to simply forget all that political
babbling because its only effect is to raise one's blood pressure.  Just
kill your television, throw your newspapers into the recycling bin so there
is at least some use of them, put a CD with classical music to your player,
get a glass of good wine and as a last enjoyment listen to the sound of the
