-Why? What difference does it make? You do not seriously think that -anything even remotely resembling "progressive" is going to appear on the -horizon any time soon, do you? And if you do, what would that be and by -what social force? I am all ears.
The same people who have been raising the minimum wage in states across the country, organizing janitors in Houston and hospital workers in Florida, expanding publicly-provided preschool in states across the country, and beginning to provide paid maternity leave in states like California.
All this silly defeatism just ignores real successes of progressives, not earth-shattering revolution, but gains that improve real lives. Yes, there are losses as well, but the gains are real too.
And the last thing we need are courts making it harder.
