CHICAGO, Nov 1 (Reuters) - The Chicago Board Options Exchange said on Tuesday it reached an agreement with China's Shenzhen Stock Exchange on the potential development of derivatives products and markets in China.
The CBOE, the largest U.S. options exchange, said it signed a memorandum of understanding with the Shenzhen market, a move that builds on CBOE's strategy to expand its exchange-traded derivative business and add new customers in the region.
The Shenzhen Stock Exchange, formed on Dec. 1, 1990, has more than 500 listed companies.
Earlier this year, the CBOE said it signed similar agreements with the Dalian Commodity Exchange, the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange.
