But what about hermaphrodite/intersex cases? Wouldn't these fall into their own gender?

On this general thread, I think Bruce Reimer is an interesting case for illustrating biology's role in differentiating the behavior

of men and women before any social construction has taken place. After losing his penis due to a botched circumcision as

an infant, his family with the help of a psychologist tried to raise him as girl with pretty terrible results.
