Dear Miles,

Is there any but a biological explaination for the fact that humans rarely develop the desire to have sex until their bodies start to mature?

Clearly not. Therefore, biology creates the desire for sex. We also know that because we can suppress the desire for sex pharmacologically. Sexual orientation is another matter. How the biologically created desire for sex is expressed by an individual is clearly a complex matter, apparently the product of socialization in large measure, although clearly sexual desire is expressed in heterosexuality at least the majority of the time. I think you're so obsessed with fighting ideas about whether homosexuality is "natural" or whatever that you are missing the point.

If *you* look back at the archives it would be clear to you that nobody has written anything supportive of religious ideas about homosexuality. Unless you don't take people at their word, I don't think you have any worry about that here. I think everybody here is trying to find a concordance between left theory and social practice.
