    What were all those M-L New Communist Movement groups with
thousands of leftists with experience in the anti-war, civil rights,
Black Power movements, in the 70's? Did they create a lasting left
infrastructure? Or like every generation of the US Left since Debs,
taking shortcuts bderived from foreign models, implode and burn out
alot of committed activists?
