Levy does write about the phenom you're talking about, but my main complaint about the book is that answers to the "why?" is missing. She quotes a teen boy saying that he doesn't understand why women dress like "skanks," because girls don't have to do much of anything to attract male attention. And she doesn't really make the argument that the girls gone wild/pornification thing is driven by male desire or demand. She even has a chapter on the infiltration of male patterns of behavior (in the sense of casual sex without emotional attachment) into lesbian culture.
