I'm sure Jenny has read just about Manning Marable has ever written. In my collection of Socialist Revolution/Socialist Review back issues, somehow I've lost the issue with his long piece on the huge Gary, Indiana convention (scenes shown in, "Eyes on the Prize, " see Amiru Baraka, Jesse Jackson outflank liberal Democrat hacks like Charles Riggs) of the nationalist/left National Black Political Convention (NBPC) and subsequent Black left National Black Independent Political Party (NBIPP) that Marable was active in.

Comments on why the NBIPP failed? http://www.google.com/search?q=National+Black+Independent+Political+Party http://www.google.com/search?q=%22National+Black+Independent+Political+Party%22&btnG=Search
