That's a toughie.  Since the Marines seem proudest of their engagements (a) 
in the Halls of Montezuma and (b) on the Shores of Tripoli, I would have to 
guess we'd be speaking either Spanish or Arabic (maybe Berber) had the 
Marines not rushed to the nation's defense.
