[lbo-talk] economy tanking?

I don't know if it's indicative of the overall economy, but freelancing
work, at least in music writing, is changing dramatically, moreso since the
New Times/VV merger, which sent a good number of their talented freelancers
looking elsewhere, or just changing their line of work.

for folks looking to jump in to cultural crit of any kind, the stakes got
much higher, and the pay even lower (if you can find somewhere that pays!).
