During my trip to L.A. last week I found that a Dwight MacDonald book 
was a good distraction during plane flights. I've been reading "Past 
Politics," which I found in the mass of books donated to our infoshop 
last year.

The essays written during WW2 are especially interesting.

The NY Times Review of Books on Sunday had an essay on MacDonald.
