I don't pay attention to this stuff, but Chris Kromm from Institute for Southern Studies had a big write up on the Yearly Kos convention in Nevada. I assume Kos takes his marching orders from the Dems and, from what Chris said, it looks like they're pretty much writing off the South as a bunch of hopeless rednecks who can't be organized or swayed -- not even on the labor issues, if you can call their position pro-labor. Similar things have been said in comments at the blog -- for those blog readers who apparently pay attention to Kos and what the dems are doing.
