Occasionally on reading a WSJ editorial (or part of one) I spend about 30 seconds contemplating the kind of mind that might read such in hearty agreement and with pleasure at its wisdom. Madison, commenting on contemporary statesman, said that attempting to understand the man would require looking deeper into human nature than he cared to look.
