Doesn't the same apply to the US - with a vengeance? Obviously the US is a bigger country than the Israeli state, but not without its own linits in grasp. We have an expanding arc of war in the Middle East of which Lebanon is but a side show, especially if the US chooses to attack Iran. At least the Israelis know they have something to lose. The Bushies and the rest of the US elite believe American powere is invincible and seem to want to throw the US weight around whenever possible. I fear that it will take nothing less than a nuclear showdown with China to put some sense into the heads of US leadrrs and by then, it may be too late. SR
