I love the Krisis pamphlet Manifesto Against Work. I am captivated by Moishe Postone's Time, Labor, and Social Domination. I think the Situationists are grand.
But when these anti-work communists criticize work, what they mean is what Marx called "abstract labor," commodity-producing labor. Value-producing labor. Labor for an anonymous market.
Not all productive activity is "work." The core contradiction of the commodity form is that between value and use-value.
Let's abolish the miseries of proletarian existence, not the vast accumulations of material wealth (material wealth, not abstract wealth, i.e. money) that capitalism has created.
