AN: In certain cases, like among people who assume the chapters on simple commodity production are intended to depict a real historical stage of human history, the reading of Marx is outright wrong.

CB: Prove it. You don't think there were historical societies with barter ? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Chris Arthur deals with this at: http://marxmyths.org/chris-arthur/article2.htm

The issue here is not the claim that barter never took place. The claim is that the discussion in Capital is not about an historical period of pre-money barter.
