Thanks Bogdan But Michael has always been onside on this issue
Incidentally I was on Doug Henwood's show on WBAI last week - in fact often am!
Some interesting points arise from this. One is the Leninist idea that someone like Amy Goodman should onlyhave guests on that toe the line. II think it was a milder version of that sank Air America.
In contrast, Fox and MSNBC often have people like me on - OK the debate is stacked bu there is a debate unlike the Red Army Choir these guys want.
Fact-checking. It was a different Ian Williams who was at the concentration camp -- but he was right and totally vindicated when the libel case went to court.
I shudder too think of what the large manuscript his group is preparing on Srebrenica will be like. "Did ten thousand really die" or did they commit suicide to make Milosevic look bad.
Luckily for my peace of mind, II don't follow these assaults from off-planet myself, but it is interesting to get the occasional sample to remind me how important it is for democratic socialists not to assume any spurious affinity with these totalitarian kooks, who think the Universal Declaration of Human rights is an imperialist plot
And Happy New Year! Ian
