I've always wondered why the US Empire hasn't produced an even halfway
decent monster movie since the 1950s. Is it the sheer monstrousness of
Imperial society? A lack of stunt doubles willing to wear rubber lizard
costumes? Did Toho corner the market on monstrosity? Or is it just the
general decadence of the Empire, similar to its inability to make decent
cars?
