Every stage of development is suoerior to its previous stage. capitalism is no doubt superior to its previous feudal stage of development. Even as feudalism had to give up under the pressure created by a superior system, Capitalism would surely yield placve to a higher form of society. It is not merely reformed capitalism, It will be a radical rupture '

Capitalism has create the material conditions under which maximum freedom is possible . But it has also crearted most uneven distrivbution of the fruits of human labour . This uneven distribution as reflected in the existence of extreme wealth and extreme poverty, both of which are not inevitable but surely a contribution of the greed as represented by the tendency to appropriate socila profit by individuals, it has ccreated distortions which would finish its regime. The present day probelm is no more of growth. This has been solved by the technology. It is one of designing a pattern of life which is sustainable . Poverty and suffering under plenty is an anachronism and must be solved. The democracy and freedom that are surely biproducts of capitalist growth is not sustainable under inequality.
