You'd have a hard time coming up with a second name after Soros. He's really an outlier on this. There's almost no capitalist support in the U.S. for progressive taxation and a welfare state. A political or economic crisis might change that, but right now, never.

Isn't Warren Buffett's position similar to Soros's? Of course, when one has a much money as Buffett one can afford to be mildly magnanimous.
