very interesting. On the other hand, here in Ellay, Griffith Park
(five times larger than CP) came about because Colonel Griffith J.
Griffith gave the land in 1896 to the city on the condition that it
had to be a park. He also later shot his wife and mostly got away with
it.

Of course, down in Orange County (where else?), they want to build a
toll road through a large public park.
