I thought that might be it, too, but from what Susie describes, this was just a sad, manipulative person or, possibly, a group of people, as I mentioned on the blog. You have to have big, fat, hairy balls and a lifetime within those circles to be THAT hateful, mean, and spiteful because, for the most part, anyone who's running those circles is as caught up in it as anyone else.

The thing is, from what they're saying, they weren't manipulated into thinking the work was good when, in fact, it wasn't simply because of his/her gender bending, lumpen street cred. Everyone seems to think the work was good, no matter who the person was or what their street cred.

BTW, this chickmanista was pretending to have HIV/AIDS -- which ain't no joke. And, ultimately, it ain't no joke to pretend to be an abuse survivor, or transgendered, or anything of the sort since all you do is belittle the lives and struggles of those who are.

speaking of, I figured everyone would love this: http://blog.pulpculture.org/2006/01/10/this-is-probably-a-photoshop-job/
