I do know one from Sacramento who is 18, and I wouldn't know the skill levels of people who I've never met, and wouldn't call her unskilled, but there was not a days long training process involved. I don't think that each person playing that role is guaranteed to have knowledge or skills that much elevated above the typical person - although this is because most people aren't ignorant of first aid. They are good to have in terms of designating someone who visibly volunteers to help out if anyone has a problem. Christine
