I translated Dugin's column from the new issue of Rolling Stone Russia. "Star Factory" is a music talent show.

POP MECHANIC

The philosopher Alexander Dugin listens closely to Russian pop music

Performer: Masha Rzhevskaya

Composition: "When I Turn into a Cat"

Masha Rzhevskaya's song "When I Turn into a Cat" was a hit a couple of years ago, and it is still in rotation today. It is understandable why. The words of this composition do not completely accurately reflect reality; it should be "in the next life," not "in this life." Then, everything would be in its place. The matter is that Max Fadeev, who created the singing golems of "Star Factory," (CD -- "Fabrika Zvyozd") is an obvious fan of Japanese horror movies. The very name "Star Factory" is extremely ominous. A "star," even in the stupid philistine understanding of the term, is a natural talent. Someone who who "manufactures" (CD -- "fabrikuet") talent transforms the natural into the artificial, and it is for this reason that the fat Fadeev has such a repellent appearance. He knows what he is doing. He cannot not know. It has been known for a long time that only Satanists and perverts work in show business.

It is impossible that Max Fadeev managed not to see Takashi Shimidzu's movie "Marebito" with Shino Tsukamoto in the main role -- the same Tsukamoto who shot "Tetsuo," about a man-machine. "Marebito" also concerns a pervert and Satanist, just like the ones who work in Russian show business. A director, Masuoka, is looking for the source of terror, and he finds it in the depths of the metro, where the civilization of Dero rules -- subterranean beings who create such terror that people who accidentally observe them immediately impale themselves in the forehead with a sharp knife. Director Masuoka, in the Tokyo metro, where ancient giants erected enormous palaces and stone statues, finds a naked woman chained in a cave who can neither eat, nor walk, nor speak. Masuoka takes her with him and gives her the name "F." The "F" reminds one of a cat. Then, he discovers that she is nourished by blood, and begines to murder random persons and bring the blood to "F." Nothing occurs as a result... except that "F" begins to speak. But only the very simplest of words.

This story has been empressed into Masha Rzhevskaya's song about the cat. Masha Rzhevskaya is "F," a "Star Factory" pawn Max Fadeev found in oblivion (like all the rest). He nourished her with blood and transormed her into a cat. A mindless cat with semitransparent skin.

Shimidzu, who shot the movie about the civilization of Dero, was completely correct. Dero is next to us. They, already not hiding themselves, dance on the television channels, organize casting calls, and fill our lives with thousands of unsubtle (CD -- "pryamyi") laws and ominous hints. Masha Rzhevskaya is one of their first experimental victims. She became a "cat" in the simplest and most terrifying sense -- genetic mutation has been practiced in Russia for a long time now. The human genome was puzzled out several decades ago, and there is no barrier in the way of the pioneers of cloning. Especially in Russia, where everything is possible.

The civilization of Dero is rising to the surface before our eyes. And behind it is hidden an occult plot hatched between mad scientists and show-business moguls. My colleagues, our time is over.

Nu, zayats, pogodi!
