I am familiar with the fanatical pro-Zionism of the anti-Deutscher movement, and am neither surprised nor perturbed by your attitude here. Naturally, the deep complicity between Zionism and Nazism in the war period utterly slips out of your purview, but I am not about to waste time trying to shake you out of your White Man's Burden. It would be nice if you had an actual analysis of both fascism and Islamism (as opposed to a mere anathematism in which these two ideologies are subsumed into Evil).

And it would be refreshing if you knew your shit for once. The Socialist Workers' Party is a Leninist organisation, but its support for anti-imperialists did not begin with the end of the Cold War. We opposed the Russian invasion of Afghanistan and supported the genuine indigenous resistance (not the CIA's clones), whether Islamist or secular. We also supported Iran against Iraq when the latter invaded the Islamic Republic.

Basically, we're really bad bad guys. We're evil.

Well, we can take your well-wishing as read, but it is curious (to put it mildly) that you think Israel was 'attacked'. Any fule knows that the two soldiers who were captured were in Lebanese territory. Israel, by contrast, is a regular kidnapper and assassin, and has been moving in and out of Lebanese territory ever since Hezbollah booted it out (without flattening Tel Aviv, you'll note).

Incidentally, you may console yourself about the irrelevance of communism if you wish. That is not an unfamiliar posture. But you invite ridicule when in the same missive you mention the word 'projection'.
