[WS:] I think you got it all backwards, Carl. The forces behind imperial adventures are quite independent of party affiliation, and for that matter, of public sentiments in general. The former can be bought, the latter can be easily manipulated.
Therefore thinking that thwarting liberal Democrats would thwart US imperialism is tantamount to believing that stopping the Titanic band playing would stop the sinking. This ship goes where its owners steer it and at the speed they can muster - with or without a liberal democrat band playing on its deck.
So why not sitting down, relaxing, and enjoying the music before darkness swallows it all?
