OK. It's time for the joke.
God creates Adam and Eve and, after a while, he checks back to see how things are going. He pulls Adam aside and asks him, "So, Adam, How are things? What do you think of Eve?"
"Oh," Adam says, "she's the greatest! She's nice, she's affectionate, she's helpful. It's great."
"Great," God says, "I made her that way, so you'd like her. Anything else?"
"Well, what can I say?" replies Adam, "She's beautiful, she's really soft, she's a great friend."
"Good, I made her that way just so you'd like her. But now, tell the whole truth: any problems? any complaints?"
"Well," Adam wavers, " Just one little thing; she's is kind of stupid."
"Oh that," says God, "I had to to make her that way, so she'd like you."
-------------- Women are not stupid, but they can be stupid about men. In fact, the whole phenomenon of women throwing themselves away on hopless, cluless bums is so common that it makes jokes like the above, funny.
So, no. It's not enforced monogamy that prevents them from lining up for the fighter pilots. It's misplaced compassion.
