And if after weeks of asking your father to come to church with everybody else because you're relied upon to fill the "little child shall lead them" role, he finally does come a few times.....well, then you might go take him by the hand when the organ music is playing and lead him down the aisle to surrender. Later, when you decide you don't want to go to church anymore, you curse that day. On the other hand, a few summers later some of your gay friends lose their virginity in the woods at summer church camp.
