No government lasts forever, but, if anything, the Afghanistan War and the increasing alliance between Washington and New Delhi will hasten the end of the Musharraf regime, and it won't be secular leftists or pro-Washington liberals that will take power after Musharraf.

As for "jihadi infrastructure," there isn't much infrastructure necessary for the sorts of terrorism committed on 9/11 and in the region around Afghanistan. Those who are motivated only need a little money, a little knowledge, and a little access to explosives. The world is awash in all three.
