I concur completely. I doubt she'll actually get nominated, though perhaps that's wishful thinking on my part, since if she's nominated, that automatically means another four years of a Republican presidency. Anyone who disputes this is insane.

John Edwards is gearing up to run again. As far as Edwards goes, I had initially had the impression that he was superficial even by bourgeois politician standards, a sort of imitation Bill Clinton with better looks. But then he started talking about eliminating poverty, which is something he still does. It is worth it to our side to encourage this kind of thing -- a national discussion about poverty, which has not been on the agenda for nearly forty years. All things remaining equal, I would favor Edwards at this point.
> I don't think the GOP will run Rice either.
This is so obvious that I don't know why it even needs to be stated. (The same goes for the fact that Dick Morris is an idiot.) Condoleeza Rice would not fly with the Republican base for obvious reasons.

Whoever the money supports will get the Christian Right (which is really a pretty disciplined part of the Republican apparatus proper despite discord at the fringes) and will therefore win the nomination, period.
