On 3/10/06, in a truly bizarre move, Pacifica Radio's governing board decided to establish a committee to investigate itself and members of local boards of its five stations for racism and sexism.

Remarkable the board is focussing on infighting, and not other matters, like encouraging development of new high-quality programs like Behind the News, or doing something about the continuing downward spiral at WBAI, or anything else, at a time when the world is coming more unglued by the day, and a high-functioning alternative network would be especially valuable.

The motion is below.
