Not just an act, a number of acts. Not cool, in my book. It'd be less of an issue if he was just an activist, but being a full-time professor and academic means you do have to pay attention to things like footnotes, attributions, scholarship, etc.
But of course that's not the issue. Scapegoating Churchill is part of the petro-fundamentalist war on dissenters, higher education, Ethnic Studies, the community college system, and in fact pretty much everything which is decent and humane in this society.
What's amazing is how the Rightwing stalwarts of academic integrity and honesty can pass over the fact that almost every single assertion or piece of evidence presented by the US oiligarchy to justify the murder of 50,000+ Iraqis and 2,400+ US soldiers has been a shameless, contemptible lie.
