I love Three Imaginary Boys. The Pornography-era Cure stuff is just too unremittingly black for me. It is lugubrious to the point of being funny. I think The Top is a great album though.
Through the wonders of the budget Moscow street kiosk I managed to get all the Cure's main albums in mp3 format, plus something like 6 Sex Pistols releases and releases with all the PiL stuff up through 1992 with the exception of Metral Box, for all of 15 bucks. I'm happy as a 1977 punk gobbed on by Johnny Rotten. :)
I really wish Bauhaus had covered the Velvet Underground. Can you imagine what they would do with Sister Ray?
