Go back 15 years to 1991, to the eve of the Gulf War and recall many - perhaps most - of the liberal wing of the anti-war movement took the view that "we should let sanctions work."  That was the position of many of those who were most opposed to the Workers World led coalition,  Well, we - the US Government and the United Nations- did.  

        So is death by starvation, lack of medical supplies, poverty etc by a multilaterally imposed sanctions regime somehow morally superior to a suicide bomber who killed 22 day laborers in one fell swoop?SR
